Actor Nam Joo-hyuk will join the military in December to fulfill his military duty.
An insider from the entertainment industry said on Oct 17th that “Nam Joo-hyuk will enlist in active duty in December and will continue his acting career after completing his military duty.”
Nam Joo-hyuk is currently considered one of the top actors among those in their 20s. He has shown an amazing acting transformation through JTBC’s “The Light in Your Eyes,” and was loved by viewers for his roles in Netflix’s “The School Nurse’s File” and tvN’s “Startup.” Recently, he has emerged as a “first love’s icon” after meeting viewers through tvN’s drama “Twenty-five Twenty-one.” His performance in the movie industry was also remarkable. He won the 39th Blue Dragon Film Award for Best New Actor through his first film, “The Great Battle.” In addition, “Remember,” which will be released on Oct 26th, is also highly expected.
Currently, he is filming the Disney+ (Plus) original series “Vigilante”, and although the filming schedule continues, it is planned to be completed by mid-November for his military enlistment. “Vigilante” is based on a Naver webtoon of the same name drawn by Kim Kyu-sam, and tells the story of Ji-yong who hunts criminals wandering around society every weekend, Choi Mi-ryeo, a reporter who noticed that, and Jo Heon, a metropolitan investigator who tracks the existence of “Vigilante”, who is drawing attention from the media and political and business circles.
