Nam Joo-hyuk is properly showing the onscreen charm of a reliable younger man.

Even at a young age (born in 1994), Nam Joo-hyuk shows off his reliable chemistry with older actresses. The acting skills of Nam Joo-hyuk, who boasts a perfect compatibility with Kim Tae-ri (4 years older than him) in tvN’s ongoing drama “Twenty Five, Twenty One” to Han Ji-min (12 years older than him) in “The Light in Your Eyes”, are shining.

Nam Joo-hyuk played the role of Baek-ah, the 13th Prince Wang Wook, and left a strong impression on the viewers despite having little screen time. He boasted his young appearance and excellently showed off the charms of his character, who can do anything, including calligraphy, painting, musical instruments, pottery, etc.

Depicting a romance that cannot be achieved with Woo-hee (Seohyun), the last Princess of Later Baekje, from the middle of the drama, Nam Joo-hyuk caught the eyes of the viewers with his desperate crying scenes.

Based on the novel of the same name, contrary to its ordinary Korean title, which translates to “School Nurse Ahn Eun-young”, Netflix’s “The School Nurse Files” is a quirky fantasy drama where Ahn Eun-young (Jung Yu-mi), a nurse with a supernatural gift discovers unusual mysteries that are invisible to others at a bizarre high school. To protect the students and unfold these mysterious cases, she teams up with classical Chinese literature teacher Hong In-pyo (Nam Joo-hyuk). Hong In-pyo is the grandson of the school founder. He is surrounded by a special energy that protects him from the monstrous creatures Ahn Eun-young sees.

Romance is not the main part of “The School Nurse Files”, but the effortless chemistry of Jung Yu-mi and Nam Joo-hyuk in a delightful fantasy setting of hunting and defeating monsters brings out fun and freshness.

“The Light in Your Eyes” is a time travel drama that depicts what happens when a 25-year-old woman who has the ability to control time turns herself into an elderly woman in her 70s due to an unexpected accident. Kim Hye-ja and Han Ji-min play two versions of the female protagonist Kim Hye-ja, an aspiring anchorwoman who is trapped in tangled time.

Nam Joo-hyuk plays Lee Jun-ha, a reporter who lives a lonely and helpless life until he meets Kim Hye-ja. Playing a character who throws away the splendid moments given to him and lives a lethargic life, Nam Joo-hyuk shows various emotions, from his youthful appearance to the devastated look in his eyes.

“The Light in Your Eyes”, which portrays Alzheimer’s disease in the form of time travel, is a tear jerking yet comforting drama that reminds us of the importance of living our lives to the fullest regardless of bad days.
