“My Dearest” is finally back with part 2.
MBC’s Friday-Saturday drama “My Dearest” Part 2 will air its first episode at 9:40 p.m. on October 13th (KST). The 11th and 12th episodes will be expanded to being 90 minutes long.
“My Dearest” is a romantic historical drama about the love of a couple and the vitality of the people who go through the most challenging time during the Joseon dynasty.
The 20-episode drama will be broadcast in two parts. Part 1 ended on the 2nd of last month with its own highest viewer rating of 12.2%.
It was praised for its sophisticated visual scenes, good performance of the cast and captivating storyline. In particular, the complex relationship between Lee Jang-hyun and Yoo Gil-chae, played by Nam goong Min and Ahn Eun-jin, pushed the storyline to its climax.
According to the production team, Yoo Gil-chae will face unimaginable trials in the first episode of Part 2. Starting from the crisis, Yoo Gil-chae will have a tearful reunion with Lee Jang-hyun, as Part 2 explained.
Director Kim Sung-yong said, “It is expected that the emotional narratives of the tightly built characters in Part 1 will shine in Part 2. The biggest point is how Jang-hyun and Gil-chae, who unfortunately broke up, will reunite, and I think it is the development of the relationship between the two.“
In addition, in Part 2, a large number of new faces such as Gakhwa (Lee Chung-ah), Jang Chul (Moon Sung-geun), and Yong Jo (So Yu-jin) are expected to join the cast.
The pre-released video of Part 2 showed Lee Jang-hyun missing Yoo Gil-chae. Fans who have been waiting for Part 2 are exchanging speculations, saying, “It’s the first time I’ve seen the drama‘s pre-release and my heart is pounding,” adding, “We can finally watch it today.” Jang-hyun, Gil-chae wait for me,” “My heart is shaking,” and “I waited without watching other dramas after part 1.”
