Na PD’s new restaurant series is going to Mexico “The filming site cannot be revealed due to the Hallyu craze”

PD Na Young Seok’s new restaurant series is heading to Mexico.

According to an entertainment industry official on November 8th, PD Na Young Seok is reportedly considering Mexico as the top candidate while searching for a place for a new restaurant series filmed overseas. 

“Youn’s Kitchen” is a program in which popular actors such as Lee Seo Jin, Jung Yumi, and Park Seo Joon set up Korean restaurants overseas to sell Korean food, centering on actor Yoon Yeo Jung. It was filmed on Gili Trawangan Island in Bali, Indonesia in 2017 and Garachico in Tenerife Island, Spain in 2018, and enjoyed high popularity in the local areas.

Recently, as the Hallyu wave is getting hotter in Central and South America, attention is also focused on the local opening of “Youn’s Kitchen”.

However, the production crew said that due to the Hallyu craze, the filming candidates could not be disclosed in advance. Na PD, who is currently on an overseas tour, was reluctant to reply immediately, saying, “If the filming site is released in advance, due to the Hallyu craze, it may cause problems with filming due to crowds of people.”

Currently, the production crew is preparing for filming the new series with the goal of broadcasting in the first quarter of 2023.  PD Jang Eun Jung of “Korean Hostel in Spain” will direct with Na PD, and Choi Woo Shik of “Youn’s Stay” is expected to join the cast lineup.
