The first script reading for "My Happy End" has been revealed

TV CHOSUN’s new weekend mini-series “My Happy End” (written by Baek Seon-hee/directed by Jo Soo-won/produced by Story Vine Pictures, Hi Ground, IN Culture) tells the story of a woman who chases after success due to her unfortunate childhood, and tries to escape from her desires and obsessions. The narrative explores the concept of true happiness.

The script reading event, marked by the enthusiastic presence of director Jo Soo-won and the confident aspirations of the cast, showcased a warm atmosphere. Despite being the first gathering, the actors demonstrated a powerful teamwork that heightened expectations for the work.

Jang Na-ra Son Ho-jun

Portraying Seo Jae-won, the self-made CEO of a home furniture brand and an influential influencer, Jang Na-ra’s striking transformation and nuanced performance captured attention. Her character, navigating the psychological turmoil caused by betrayal, demanded delicate emotional control, which Jang Na-ra executed masterfully.

Taking on the role of Heo Soon-young, a freelance designer and industrial design professor, Son Ho-jun unfolded a realistic and heartfelt performance, showcasing the affectionate side of a doting father and devoted husband, from tenderly caring for his daughter to dedicating himself to his beloved wife. The chemistry between Jang Na-ra and Son Ho-jun, reuniting since the 2017 drama “Go Back”, added depth to the storyline.

In the role of Kwon Yoon-jin, Seo Jae-won’s art school classmate and an assistant professor at an art school, So Yi-hyun skillfully depicted the tension and jealousy arising after reuniting with Seo Jae-won, who extraordinarily outdistanced her during their school days. So Yi-hyun’s solid acting conveyed vividly the beauty of human psychological thriller.

Playing Yoon Te-oh/Theo Harris, the head of the design team, Lee Ki-taek exuded a mysterious charm with his deep voice and enigmatic expressions, effectively adding a layer of mystery to the narrative.
