“Moving” Production Company Unveils 2024 Lineup With Park Bo-gum & Kim So-hyun’s Drama “Good Boy”
Studio&NEW achieved impressive records in 2023with hit dramas on OTT and TV, such as “Moving”, “Doctor Cha” and “Tell Me That You Love Me”. Proving its content production capability, Studio&NEW is expected to provide new entertainment with a diverse lineup on various platforms, such as TV, OTT, and theater.
First, “Good Boy” is a comedy action youth investigative drama revolving around Olympic medalists becoming police officers through a special selection so instead of wearing medals around their necks, they wear police badges and fight against injustice and violations. The drama was created by “The Good Bad Mother” and “Beyond Evil” director Shim Na-yeon and “Life On Mars” writer Lee Dae-il. The casting of Park Bo-gum and Kim So-hyun also raised viewers’ expectations. It will be released on JTBC in the second half of 2024.
Next, SBS’s “Good Partner” is a legal office drama about star lawyer Cha Eun-kyung (Jang Na-ra) and new lawyer Han Yu-ri (Nam Ji-hyun). In particular, divorce lawyer Choi Yu-na, who greeted the public through the entertainment program “You Quiz on the Block”, will write the script and work with director Kim Ga-ram of “Nevertheless”. Apart from Jang Na-ra and Nam Ji-hyun, the drama also stars Kim Jun-han, and Pyo Ji-hoon.
“Red Swan” tells about Wan-su (Kim Ha-neul), who dreamed of a perfect life in the upper class by marrying the heir of Hwain Group, encountering Doyoon (Jung Ji-hoon), a bodyguard who wants to protect her, and facing the secret of Hwain Family. “Queen Seondeok” and “The Greatest Love” director Park Hong-kyun joined hands with writer Choi Yoon-jung of “Three Sisters” to produce the drama. It will premiere via Disney+ within this year.
Along with the dramas and OTT series, movies are also waiting to be released. The mystery thriller “Hidden Face” by “Obsessed” director Kim Dae-woo is about a man chasing after the whereabouts of his financeé who disappeared leaving only one video letter and discovering a shocking secret about her. Song Seung-heon, Jo Yeo-jeong and Park Ji-hyun joined the main cast of this movie.
Apart from these notable projects, Studio&NEW is also planning many other dramas and movies of different genres. They want to expand the supply of content stably by preparing more than 30 works with partners who can participate in strengthening their planning and production capabilities.
