Mother of the most successful Miss Korea in history jokingly said her whole family is pig-like
Gayageum master Moon Jae-sook mentioned her daughter Lee Honey on a recent broadcast.
Master Moon Jae-sook appeared on TV Chosun’s “Star Documentary My Way,” which aired on January 21st. In the show, Moon Jae-sook released a family photo taken to celebrate Lee Honey’s victory in Miss Korea.
She said, “My house is a bit of a pig-like family (meaning the whole family doesn’t have attractive looks), so it was amazing that a Miss Korea came out of it,” drawing laughter.
Regarding finishing fourth at Miss Universe in 2007, Lee Honey used to say, “My mother was the director of my success in Miss Universe. I’ve been trying on hanbok more times than wearing dresses,” implying that her fourth rank was thanks to her mother.
Lee Honey then said, “I practiced Korean drum dance thinking about how to make hanbok look better.”
In the show “My Little Old Boy,” Lee Honey shared, “I’m not in good shape if I don’t exercise. That’s why I always exercise for two hours a day,” adding “And I’m the type that has a big appetite. Even if your appetite comes, you can control it if you exercise in the morning, but once your will collapses, there is no answer.”
In a broadcast, Lee Honey said she weighs 50kg to 58kg and manages her weight steadily.
Lee Honey made her debut through the 50th Miss Korea Contest in 2006. Since then, she has received favorable reviews for her unique portrayal of characters in the movie “Extreme Job,” which attracted 10 million viewers, the dramas “Fiery Priest”, and “One the Woman.”
The actress used to have a 7-year relationship with actor Yoon Kye Sang. However, the couple broke up in June 2020.
Recently, Lee Honey confirmed that she is pregnant with her first child. Accordingly, the actress is 4 months pregnant and is expected to give birth to her first child in June this year. Worth mentioning, she just held a wedding with her husband from outside the industry in December. This means that Miss Korea was pregnant before the wedding.
