The ongoing K-drama “Crash Course in Romance” is gaining huge popularity with its interesting plot, humor, and “healing content”, as well as the excellent chemistry between Jeon Do Yeon and Jung Kyung Ho. At the same time, a supporting character, played by another actor, is becoming the talk of town.

In particular, a scene in “Crash Course in Romance” has become a hot topic. Here, the younger brother Jae Woo of female lead Haeng Seon can be seen buying waffles at a store. Upon receiving the waffle, Jae Woo noticed that the female employee got syrup on her hand, and so attempted to wipe the syrup for her. Unfortunately, the female employee thought Jae Woo was a creep, flinching and causing her boyfriend, who is another employee, to react and fight Jae Woo.

Later on in the drama, it is revealed that Jae Woo has Asperger’s Syndrome, a form of autism spectrum disorder, and so cannot react like a normal person would, causing the misunderstanding. In the end, Jae Woo and the two employees were taken to the police station, and his sister, Haeng Seon, had to bail him out and apologize to the two employees on Jae Woo’s behalf.

The aforementioned scene of “Crash Course in Romance” has since been in hot debate. So far, most of the audience praise Oh Eui Shik, who assumes the role of Jae Woo, due to his convincing acting skills. However, the scene itself raises a lot of questions, seeing that Jae Woo’s autism spectrum can be easily spotted. Some netizens also claimed that Haeng Seon shouldn’t have to apologize, seeing that her brother wasn’t in the wrong.

Born in 1983, Oh Eui Shik is actually a familiar face to K-drama fans, having starred as guest actors and supporting characters in various notable works. In particular, audiences can spot the actor in “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo”, “While You Were Sleeping”, “Hi Bye, Mama”, “True Beauty”, “Hometown Cha Cha Cha”, “Big Mouth”, and more. Now, the actor is making a deep impression with “Crash Course in Romance”, proving his talents.

In fact, according to Oh Eui Shik, he quitted his white collar job and pursued acting since he got bored of waiting for work to end everyday.
