Seunghan is embroiled in controversy as his private live broadcasts continue to be exposed, causing a ripple effect that involve HYBE idols
After a private live broadcast on Instagram with TXT’s Soobin, SM rookie boy group RIIZE’s Seunghan stirred up controversy again as a video of him smoking was leaked.
Just two months into his debut, Seunghan consistently causes controversy due to his past. Facing backlash from Korean fans, there are calls for him to leave RIIZE.
Adding fuel to the fire, a Twitter account is threatening to leak more photos of Seunghan if SM fails to address the issue promptly. What makes matters more complicated is that the account isn’t just focusing on Seunghan. They are pulling other HYBE idols into the spotlight.
The Twitter post reads: “I have more than 3 strong points to expose about HSH (Seunghan). If SM doesn’t manage everything within a week, I will reveal everything, and the idol industry will go crazy. Especially for 4th generation idols. And he (Seunghan) is also dating a former SM trainee, but they only fired that girl, she’s pitiful.“
Among the named HYBE idols are BOYNEXTDOOR’s Taesan, ENHYPEN’s Heeseung, TXT’s Soobin, and Huening Kai. Of particular note is NewJeans’ Haerin, one of the most popular 4th gen female idols in Korea.
Seunghan’s previous ties as a trainee at Source Music (a HYBE subsidiary that manages LE SSERAFIM) may explain his connections, but dragging Haerin into the controversy creates a worrying situation due to her popularity.
The NewJeans fandom is on edge, with some arguing that Haerin’s mention seems incidental and not necessarily linked to Seunghan. As of now, SM has yet to issue any official statements regarding these unfolding events.
