Moon Chae Won’s agency threatens legal actions against groundless rumors 

On March 13th, Moon Chae Won’s agency, IOK Company, threatened to take legal actions against people who spread groundless rumors about the actress.

In particular, the agency issued an official statement which said: 

“Hello. This is IOK Company.

Regarding our artist, actress Moon Chae Won, we have discovered various situations where groundless false rumors are being spread as if they were true in various online communities, social media platforms, YouTube, and so on.

As a result, we are aware that not only the mental health, honor, image and personality of our actors are negatively affected by them, but fans are also suffering from extreme damages. 

In the meantime, we have been closely monitoring the situation based on continuous reports from fans,

Rumors that take things too far are being produced out of control, so we decided that we can no longer tolerate them, and we want to take strong legal action to protect our actors.

Currently, we have completed the first collection of evidence through long-term internal monitoring and reporting, and plan to file a complaint through a law firm based on additional evidence.

In order to prevent the recurrence of this situation, we would like to inform you that we will take stern action without any agreement or leniency in the future against those who spread false information, create and post malicious rumors, and make malicious comments.

In the future, we will continue to thoroughly monitor and take regular legal action against malicious acts directed at our actors.

If you find an illegal case, we ask you to report it.

Lastly, we will do our best to protect the rights and interests of our actors while listening to the valuable opinions of our fans.

On the other hand, actress Moon Chae Won, who was born in 1986, made her acting debut in 2007 through the SBS drama “Mackerel Run”. She is known to have suffered damages due to false information that was recently spread on YouTube.
