Mingyu Has Been “Interested” in BLACKPINK’s Lisa Since 6 Years Ago? 

On the evening of March 14, luxury brand BVLGARI held an event in Seoul, South Korea. Here, fans were treated to a high-class “visual feast” with the appearances of renowned stars like BLACKPINK’s Lisa, SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu, Lee Jong-suk, ENHYPEN’s Jungwon and Niki, among others. 

Here, the close interactions between Lisa and Mingyu quickly caused a stir on social media. In particular, the 2 idols engaged in cheerful conversations and exchanged pleasantries in front of the camera, leaving many fans surprised by their closeness. Videos capturing these moments between Lisa and Mingyu even reached millions of views on SNS platform X (formerly Twitter).

As a result, a moment of Lisa and Mingyu since 6 years ago has been “dug up” by netizens. The moment, which appeared in many Lisa-Mingyu’s “compilation”, was even used by international fans as “evidence” that Mingyu was “interested” in Lisa. 

In particular, during the end of an awards show, Mingyu was allegedly spotted “staring” at Lisa and wanting to get closer to the female idol. A video even published “evidence” of the Lisa-Mingyu “ship” being real, using the above footage and screenshots from the two’s Instagram. 

However, in response to the resurfacing moment between Mingyu and Lisa, most netizens commented that interactions between idols on stage are entirely normal. Some also called the “moment” a “stretch”, as it mostly stems from groundless speculations.
