Max Changmin, Taeyeon, and NCT Dream listed in Time Magazine’s ‘2022 Best K-Pop Songs and Albums’ 

SM artists including TVXQ’s Changmin, Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon, and NCT Dream were selected by Time to have the best K-pop songs and albums of 2022. 

According to Time Magazine’s list of ‘The Best K-pop Songs and Albums of 2022 So Far’ released on June 7th, Max Changmin’s second mini album title track ‘Devil’ was selected as one of the best K-pop songs, Taeyeon‘s 3rd full album ‘INVU’ and NCT DREAM’s 2nd full album ‘Glitch Mode’ were listed among the best K-pop albums this year. This has proved the global power of SM artists.

Time magazine praised Max Changmin‘s vocals in ‘Devil’, saying, “Max Changmin’s singing seduces with a force similar to that of a devil’s temptation.” His album of the same name, ‘Devil’, received good responses and recorded first place on the iTunes Top Albums chart in Japan, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Singapore, Turkey, Hong Kong, Philippines, Indonesia, Colombia, Vietnam, Lithuania, Taiwan, Malaysia, Peru, etc. 

Time magazine complimented Taeyeon’s 3rd full album ‘INVU’, saying that Taeyeon’s skillful delivery made every track stand out. With ‘INVU’, Taeyeon topped the Gaon Monthly Digital and Download Chart, the Melon Monthly Chart, took home 8 music show wins in Korea, ranked No.1 on the iTunes Top Album Chart in 23 regions around the world, and topped the China QQ Music Digital Album Chart.

NCT DREAM‘s 2nd full album ‘Glitch Mode’ surpassed 2.1 million copies in album sales and made the group a ‘double million seller’ in just a week after its release. The album also topped global charts, including No.1 on Oricon International Album Chart for two consecutive weeks, No.1 on Japan’s Line Music TOP100 Chart in Japan, and No.1 on QQ Music Digital Album Chart in China.
