LOONA to have first 11-member comeback in January after Chuu left

LOONA will make their first comeback after the noisy case of kicking Chuu out of the group.

According to a K-pop insider on Dec 7th, LOONA is preparing for a comeback on January 3rd next year.

This LOONA’s comeback is about seven months after their special mini-album “Flip That” released in June. LOONA appeared in “Queendom 2” this year and achieved a great result of being runner-up. The group soon released their first summer special mini-album after finishing second in “Queendom 2.” Moreover, LOONA recently successfully completed their overseas tour.

In particular, LOONA’s comeback is drawing attention as it is their first comeback as an 11-member group after Chuu was kicked out from the group by their agency.

Blockberry Creative, LOONA’s agency, said on Nov 25th, “The company’s representative has apologized to and comforted the staff after investigating Chuu’s recent power trip report. We have decided to take responsibility and remove Chu from LOONA.”

Three days later, on Nov 28th, “The notice posted at around 5 p.m. on November 25th was a notice explaining Chuu’s changed position and reason for her expulsion to fans and those who support LOONA. It is not supposed to be a revelation post. It is a natural explanation process to write the reason for her exit, but it is Chuu and the damaged staff’s responsibility to provide facts and evidence about it,” the agency added.

In response, Chuu claimed on her SNS, “I am also doing my own research on the situation because I have not been contacted or received any report about this, but what is clear is that I have never done anything to embarrass my fans.” Chuu hasn’t dropped out of any of her current programs and continued her activities steadily.
