Actress Choo Ja-hyun recently appeared in a pictorial after proving her strong presence in tvN’s “Little Women” and Netflix series “Narco-Saints.”
In a recent magazine interview, Choo Ja-hyun expressed her feelings about the role of “Hwa-young,” who successfully led the introduction of “Little Women.” She said, “She is an interesting one because of her strong impact, but on the other hand, I felt burdened. She is a character that opens the door (to the main storyline) in the first episode, and I am grateful for the explosive response despite the fact that there is not much footage of her due to the nature of her special appearance. I also have a huge lingering impression of the character Hwa-young. I have no choice but to remain silent when people around me keep asking about what happened to Hwa-young,” she confessed.
Choo Ja-hyun’s trademark, big and deep eyes, played a major role in maximizing the emotions of characters who have to keep secrets and goes through life trials, including “Chun-hee” of “Green Mothers Club,” “Eun-joo” of “My Unfamiliar Family,” and “Hwa-young” of “Little Women.”
In response, Choo Ja-hyun said, “Because I am usually given a lot of bright, fresh, and cheerful characters when I was in my 20s, too many thoughts in my eyes became a poison. However, as I entered my 30s and 40s, the texture of life-depicting expressions changed. I heard that they can feel the depth (in my eyes). It used to be a weakness, but now it seems to be my weapon,” she said.
Choo Ja-hyun, who previously made headlines for her acting activities in China and her appearance in “Same Bed, Different Dreams 2: You’re My Destiny,” is stepping up her activities in Korea again by clearly imprinting her presence as an actress. Choo Ja-hyun said, “I’m having happy days because I can now approach the audience as an actress. It is amazing and enjoyable that they recognize and remember me based on my appearances in acting works. I want to continue to be remembered as an actress in good films and dramas,” he said.
