Just days after confirming his divorce from Hai Ha Jinxi, Chinese actor Li Yapeng has returned to the public eye — this time through a livestream session that quickly went viral.
During his broadcast on October 16, the Legend of the Condor Heroes star opened up about his personal life and addressed the speculation surrounding his recent separation.
“I initially wanted to keep my marital status private,” Li Yapeng explained. “But I was forced to make it public to avoid unnecessary trouble and misunderstanding.”
The actor admitted that his decision to go public had inadvertently affected others, urging fans and the media to stop spreading unfounded rumors.
“Speculation will never match the truth,” he said calmly. “The truth may be better or more painful than what you imagine.”
Despite the emotional nature of the topic, viewers were surprised by Li Yapeng’s composed and peaceful demeanor during the livestream. Dressed casually and speaking softly, he appeared relaxed, showing no signs of sadness or turmoil.
While some praised his maturity, others expressed concern that the actor’s swift return to online activity might be financially motivated, especially given his reported debt of over 40 million yuan (approx. USD 5.5 million).

Li Yapeng’s divorce was publicly confirmed on October 14, when he uploaded a short video to Weibo saying: “ I hadn’t planned to talk about this, but since many people are asking — yes, we completed our divorce earlier. Our daughter will live with her mother, and we will both take responsibility for raising her.”
Li Yapeng and Hai Ha Jinxi began dating in 2020, married in 2022, and share one daughter. Before their split, the couple reportedly struggled with severe financial difficulties, forcing them to move from a luxury villa to a rented apartment in an older residential area.
Hai Ha Jinxi once stated that she did not own any property and that her income primarily went toward debt repayment. Despite the hardship, she had told followers: “A complete family is more important than wealth. I was ready to face the pressure together with him.”
