Veteran Chinese actor Li Yapeng has confirmed his divorce from his second wife, Haiha Jinxi, ending their three-year marriage.
The couple shared the news through a joint video message on October 14, confirming that their divorce had already been finalized before the public announcement.
In the emotional video, set against a melancholic song, Li Yapeng shared, “I originally planned to go through this quietly, but many friends kept asking about us. After discussion, we decided to announce it. Everything between us is fine — thank you to everyone who cared.”

The actor added that their three-year-old daughter will live with her mother, while both parents will share financial and emotional responsibilities for her upbringing.
Li Yapeng and Haiha Jinxi made their relationship public in 2020 and officially tied the knot in 2022. Their marriage, which had often been portrayed as harmonious, ended quietly without public disputes.
Speculation about their relationship troubles surfaced in early 2024, when netizens noticed the couple living separately. In May, Haiha Jinxi denied rumors of divorce, explaining that their distance was due to busy work schedules—Li Yapeng focusing on his tea business and e-commerce livestreams, while she managed her own studio.

At the time, she reassured fans that they were “still working together to pay off debts.” Before their separation, the couple reportedly faced a debt exceeding 40 million RMB (approximately USD 5.5 million). The financial strain forced them to move out of their luxury villa and rent a modest apartment in an older residential area.
Haiha Jinxi later admitted she owned no property and prioritized using her earnings to repay debts, emphasizing her belief that “a complete family is more important than material possessions.”
However, rumors of separation surfaced in May 2025, when Haiha Jinxi admitted that the couple had been living apart due to work — Li Yapeng managing a tea business in Yunnan, while she remained busy in Beijing. At the time, she downplayed the speculation, saying, “We’re apart, but not broken.”

However, in later livestreams, Haiha Jinxi appeared tired and emotionally drained, hinting that the relationship was under strain. She also admitted to financial difficulties, revealing that they had downsized their home to cut living expenses.
Despite their breakup, both Li Yapeng and Haiha Jinxi have maintained a respectful and amicable tone. Neither party has spoken negatively about the other, and they continue to focus on their respective careers Li Yapeng remains active in business and online commerce, while Haiha Jinxi is expanding her personal brand on social media.

Born in 1971 in Beijing, Li Yapeng graduated from the Central Academy of Drama and rose to fame in the late 1990s and early 2000s with classic period dramas such as The Legend of the Condor Heroes, The Smiling, Proud Wanderer, and Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils. Known for his calm demeanor and righteous screen image, he became a symbol of the “heroic gentleman” archetype in Chinese television.
After retiring from acting, Li Yapeng transitioned into entrepreneurship, focusing on organic tea and investment projects.
