On June 5, Lee Yoo Bi uploaded a Q&A video to her YouTube channel, where she answered fans’ questions while enjoying a meal she prepared herself. When asked about memorable filming stories from The Escape of the Seven, the actress revealed an unexpected incident that took place during an early shoot in Jeju Island.
According to Lee Yoo Bi, the scene required her character to experience hallucinations and behave erratically in a dark cactus field. Because the production needed a nighttime atmosphere, lighting was limited, making visibility poor.
She recalled that staff members had repeatedly warned the cast to be careful around the cacti, explaining that the tiny spines could become embedded in the skin and be difficult to remove. However, during a scene in which she had to fall backward, Lee Yoo Bi accidentally landed on a cactus. “There was a cactus right behind me. About 200 cactus spines got stuck in my butt. Not my arms or legs—my butt,” she said.
After the accident, Lee Yoo Bi and her stylist moved to a secluded area to remove the spines. Because filming had to continue, she repeatedly alternated between shooting scenes and returning to remove more spines. While trying to speed up the process, she experienced another embarrassing moment. “I lowered my pants to remove the spines quickly, and suddenly I heard someone gasp. A staff member was standing behind me. It was so dark that I couldn't see them, and I accidentally exposed myself in front of them,” she recalled.

The actress said she immediately apologized to the staff member and continued filming throughout the night while repeatedly removing the cactus spines.
Although painful at the time, Lee Yoo Bi looked back on the incident as one of the many unforgettable stories from the drama's two-year production period.
