The shocking rumors surrounding actor Lee Yi Kyung’s private life have been proven false. The German woman identified as “A,” who had accused the actor of exchanging sexually explicit messages, has now confessed that the photos she used were generated by AI and the whole incident began as a “joke.”
The social media account of the alleged victim “A” has also been deleted after admitting to fabricating the information.

On October 22, just two days after the original post, A took to her X (formerly Twitter) account and issued a surprising statement: “Hello to the people of Korea. I uploaded a lot of images recently about actor Lee Yi Kyung, but I never expected a post that started as a prank to gain this much attention.”
She continued, “As I kept posting and creating AI photos, I started to believe my own narrative. What began as fan admiration slowly turned into emotional immersion. I deeply apologize to Lee Yi Kyung for spreading harmful rumors.”
Expressing remorse, she added, “I feel guilty. If there’s anything I must take responsibility for, I will. As a German, my Korean might be awkward—please understand.”

Previously, on October 19, A posted a blog entry titled “Exposing the Real Lee Yi Kyung”, claiming to have exchanged explicit messages with him. The post rapidly went viral via X. It included conversations allegedly showing someone identified as Lee Yi Kyung asking about A’s breast size and requesting inappropriate photos—messages filled with sexually suggestive content.
As the controversy escalated, A deleted the original blog post. Lee Yi Kyung’s agency, Sangyoung ENT, swiftly responded, stating that they were preparing legal action. They also revealed that about five months ago, A had once requested money from Lee’s side.

A responded again on October 21, clarifying: “Last year, I asked if I could borrow 500,000 won due to financial hardship. I intended to pay it back and never asked for money again after that.” She added that she was “trying to gather evidence” and asked for time—only to reverse her stance and issue a full apology.
Meanwhile, Sangyoung ENT released an official statement on their social media, declaring: “We are preparing legal measures against the spread of false information and malicious rumors. Based on the seriousness of the matter, we will calculate all direct and indirect damages and take every necessary action.”
The scandal, once poised to damage the actor’s career, now appears to be a cautionary tale about misinformation, the power of AI-generated content, and the rapid spread of viral rumors in the digital age.
