The individual who previously raised rumors about actor Lee Yi Kyung has revealed they are being harassed and threatened following their public accusations. On December 14, the accuser, referred to as “A,” posted a detailed statement on their social media account, stating that they’ve been the target of ongoing intimidation since coming forward.
A claimed that a new Instagram account was created with the intent of damaging their reputation. This account reportedly shared fabricated KakaoTalk messages created using a manipulation app, as well as private photos distributed without consent. According to A, the screenshots were later deleted and re-uploaded with blurred edits after the original versions appeared unnatural.
The most striking revelation involved a specific selfie taken on a plane, which A emphasized was only in the possession of themself and the actor. “The manipulated KakaoTalk conversation used a photo in which I’m wearing a hat, taken with Lee Yi Kyung on a flight,” A wrote. “This image has never been shared with anyone else, so its inclusion in fake messages clearly points to its origin.”
A added that conversation-generating apps often include slight design differences from actual messaging platforms to avoid legal issues, and many leave behind metadata or watermarks, even if not visible on-screen.
They stated they have preserved all evidence related to the false messages, unauthorized photo distribution, and malicious attempts to damage their personal information. “I will no longer tolerate these acts and will take appropriate legal action,” A concluded.
Back in October, a post appeared on an online forum accusing Lee Yi Kyung of misconduct. The original poster later retracted the claims, admitting the conversations were AI-generated, and issued an apology. However, they recently reversed their stance, insisting all evidence was real.
Lee Yi Kyung’s agency responded firmly, saying, “The malicious actions of the poster and those spreading the rumors have caused serious harm to the actor and our company. We will respond aggressively and without leniency, no matter how long it takes.”
