On November 19, A, who previously raised allegations regarding actor Lee Yi-kyung’s private life, shared a new message through their personal account, writing, “Hello. I just wanted to speak one last time. This is really the last.” The post included an image containing their full explanation.

In the shared text, A wrote, “Hello, everyone. I sincerely apologize for the confusion caused by my posts. The truth is, I was scared, so I said everything was a lie. I was afraid I might get sued or have to pay money. I lied because I didn’t want to burden myself or my family.”

A then addressed speculation that the images they uploaded had been created using AI. “AI can never create photos of celebrities, and I have never used AI in that way. All the evidence I posted was real. I don’t want to make the story bigger again. But if there are other victims unrelated to this case, I’m worried their courage might be mistaken for AI fabrication. That’s why I’m saying this.”

A also included a screenshot from their X (formerly Twitter) account, where they reiterated the same explanation.

Earlier, on the 20th, A had posted claims stating they would reveal Lee Yi-kyung’s “true self,” sharing screenshots of KakaoTalk and DM conversations allegedly exchanged with the actor. After the post caused significant controversy and Lee Yi-kyung’s agency announced strong legal action, A issued an apology, saying they had not been paid nor threatened.

However, A later changed their stance again, saying, “I’m thinking about re-uploading the proof… It feels wrong to end it like this. It wasn’t AI, so I feel unfair being made into a bad person.”

Amid the escalating situation, Lee Yi-kyung withdrew from MBC’s “Hangout with Yoo” and stepped down from his upcoming MC role on KBS2’s “The Return of Superman.”

Hello, everyone. I sincerely apologize for the confusion caused by my posts. The truth is, I was scared, so I said everything was a lie. I was afraid I might get sued or have to pay money. I lied because I didn’t want to burden myself or my family.
AI can never create photos of celebrities, and I have never used AI in that way. All the evidence I posted was real. I don’t want to make the story bigger. But if there are other victims, even those not related to this incident, I am very worried that their courage may be misunderstood as AI. That’s why I am saying this.
