Actor Lee Yi-kyung is set to reunite with his former co-star Park Min-young in TV CHOSUN’s weekend mini-series Confidence Queen. Both Lee Yi-kyung and Rowoon will make special appearances in episodes 3 and 4, showcasing their loyalty and strong industry ties with Park Min-young and director Nam Ki-hoon.
Since its premiere on September 6, Confidence Queen has quickly proven its global impact, ranking 9th worldwide in Amazon Prime TV shows and topping charts in Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand, according to FlixPatrol. Episodes 1 and 2 already impressed viewers with an elaborate airborne scam, in which Park Min-young’s character Yoon Yi-rang and her team exposed a predatory loan shark, seizing 50 billion won in slush funds and leading to his arrest.

In upcoming scenes, Park Min-young’s character Yoon Yi-rang targets renowned art critic Yoo Myung-han (Lee Yi-kyung). Disguised as a top auction house buyer, she attempts to seduce him with an enticing business proposal and exaggerated, quirky charm.
Lee Yi-kyung responds in kind, showering her with cheesy lines and smoldering gazes—turning their encounter into a sweet but hilariously awkward date. However, as Yoo Myung-han’s sharp eyes flash suspicion, the tension escalates, leaving viewers curious about the outcome of this dangerous yet comedic flirtation.
Behind the scenes, the two actors reportedly had the set in stitches with their “flirtation battle.” Park Min-young embodied her quirky character with natural ease, while Lee Yi-kyung lived up to his title as the “king of ad-libs,” improvising lines that heightened the comedy.
Serving as the main villain of episodes 3 and 4, he will bring tension, while his reunion with Park Min-young is expected to deliver powerful chemistry after their previous drama Marry My Husband. “In our last project, I played her harsh husband,” Lee Yi-kyung shared. “This time in Confidence Queen, I hope viewers look forward to seeing a completely different dynamic between us.”
Rowoon will appear as a manager, bringing warmth and lighthearted charm to the screen. His natural presence and off-camera humor reportedly energized the set, even drawing laughs when he broke into giggles recalling his own scenes.
The production team expressed gratitude, stating, “We are deeply thankful to Lee Yi-kyung and Rowoon for their passionate performances. Their cameos add richness and excitement to episodes 3 and 4, which viewers won’t want to miss.”
