Lee Sung-min Mentions Song Joong-ki at Seoul Drama Awards, “Reborn Rich” Achieves Double Wins 

Actor Lee Sung-min mentioned “grandson” Song Joong-ki in his acceptance speech

On September 21st, the 2023 Seoul International Drama Awards was held in Seoul and broadcast live on KBS 2TV.

This year’s Seoul International Drama Awards featured 344 works from 44 countries. As JTBC’s “Reborn Rich” was awarded Best Korean Drama, director Jung Dae-yoon took the stage and confessed, “It was not easy to produce such a drama. I want to take this opportunity to thank all the actors, including Song Joong-ki, staff, and employees”, adding “We will continue to communicate with viewers through better works”.

Later, “Reborn Rich” actor Lee Sung-min was also announced as the winner of Best Actor. The actor went up to the stage and delivered his acceptance speech.

He said, “I want to thank the director who attempted to turn a young person into a grandfather. I can’t remember his name”, then expressed his gratitude to the director and writer again.

Before ending his speech, Lee Sung-min added, “I will share the honor of this award with my grandson Song Joong-ki. I personally think he deserves this award”.
