“Let’s get revenge. Return as much as you receive, not more or less”, Lee Sung Kyung introduced herself with a line in the drama. She then explained her character, saying “She doesn’t have the spirit of a person who is good at revenge. However, she wants to protect what is precious to her. This character gets hurt a lot because she lost her precious things. You can think of it as a refreshing and dramatic revenge. I tried to portray a character who falls into unexpected emotions while trying to take revenge”.

The actress shared, “I’ve been close with Kim Young Kwang since before. However, we tried to stay away from each other during the filming and tried to feel our own feelings”, revealing the great efforts she made to create chemistry with Kim Young Kwang. She continued, “My relationships with Kim Young Kwang at the beginning of the drama and in the second half of the drama are very different. I didn’t know that because I was too focused on acting during the shoot, but the director captured it well. The characters’ emotions were conveyed without forced expressions.”

Revealing a story about her co-star, Lee Sung Kyung said, “I’m really close to Kim Young Kwang, and he knows me well. He told the director that I’m a friend who makes him feel brighter during his hard times. That’s the way he took care of me”.

Regarding Sung Joon, she said, “We were very comfortable with each other that I couldn’t tell whether he was acting or being himself. We’re friends of the same age and we’ve known each other since we were models. I’m happy that we can work together”.

Lee Sung Kyung also talked about how she played a character with heavy emotions for a long time. The actress said, “The character’s emotions are very dark, so I often told Kim Young Kwang about not being able to sleep well for a while during the filming. I started this work like that and was very scared. I wondered how I could endure that heavy mind for months. In the beginning, I tried to concentrate and didn’t laugh on the set. After getting used to it through several shoots, I laughed again and even played around with other people. I played around with the appearance of a person who is tired and exhausted but doesn’t want to show it. I maintain such emotions only when filming.”
