On August 11, YouTuber Lee Soo-min daughter of veteran TV personality Lee Yong-sik uploaded a vlog titled “El is a Natural Outing Baby｜80-Day-Old Baby’s First Outing Vlog.” The video captured Lee Yong-sik, his wife, Lee Soo-min, and her husband Won-hyuk shopping with their 82-day-old daughter, El.
During the outing, the family crossed paths with several celebrities, including Park Soo-hong and Kim Da-ye, followed by comedian Lee Seong-mi. Lee Yong-sik expressed surprise at the number of famous faces in one place, exclaiming,
“Is there some kind of celebrity gathering here today? I’m in shock — earlier I saw Soo-hong, and then I just saw Seung-gi.” Lee Seong-mi was equally astonished, asking, “You saw Lee Seung-gi here too? What are the chances?”
Lee Seung-gi married actress Lee Da-in, daughter of Kyun Mi-ri, in 2023, and the couple welcomed a daughter last year. However, his relationship with his in-laws was strained after his father-in-law, Lee Mo, was implicated in multiple stock manipulation cases.
Lee Mo was previously accused of fabricating public announcements to boost stock prices, allegedly making illicit profits worth tens of billions of won. While initially sentenced to prison in 2018, he won an acquittal on appeal before the Supreme Court overturned the verdict last year, finding him guilty.
In April 2025, Lee Mo was arrested again for manipulating stock prices of two listed companies, prompting Lee Seung-gi to issue a formal statement expressing “devastation” and “deep regret” over his earlier defense of his father-in-law. In the same statement, he declared a complete severance of ties with his in-laws and apologized to victims of the schemes.
