On August 13, the Army Training Center’s official website shared its latest “Trainee Sketch” images, which included the ASTRO member and actor Cha Eun-woo. Standing with perfect posture and a focused gaze, Cha’s slightly tanned skin and sculpted features drew admiration from fans, who praised his natural charisma even in military attire.
Cha Eun-woo enlisted on July 28, entering the Army Training Center in Nonsan, South Chungcheong Province. After completing basic training, he will serve in the Army Band.
The day before enlistment, Cha greeted fans in a live broadcast, revealing his freshly cropped hair — the shortest since he was a toddler. “It feels strange every time I look in the mirror, but it’s amazing that this day has come,” he said. “I’m curious and excited about my 30s after enlistment. I hope luck will be with you in everything you do, and I’ll return safely.”
Cha made his screen debut in the 2014 film My Brilliant Life before debuting with ASTRO in 2016. He has since built a successful acting career, starring in popular dramas including My ID is Gangnam Beauty, True Beauty, and Wonderful World.
