Earlier, it was revealed in February last year that former April member Lee Hyun-joo made an extreme attempt after being bullied during group activities. The agency issued an official position denying the disclosure. However, after the controversy erupted, some members, including Lee Na-eun, dropped out of a number of advertisements and dramas as well as stopped all activities.

Later on January 28th, DSP Media, April‘s agency, announced the group’s disbandment through its official website, “We and the members decided to disband the team and go our separate ways after a long discussion and consideration.”
