Lee Min-jung: “There were times when I was too old to be cast… Lee Byung-hun is kind and gentle”

Actress Lee Min-jung talked about her acting career and her husband.

On the March 16th broadcast of tvN’s “You Quiz on the Block“, actress Lee Min-jung appeared as a guest to tell various stories.

Yoo Jae-suk said, “I heard that Lee Min-jung was also pretty when she was young”, Lee Min-jung made everyone laugh as she replied, “Whenever people visited my house, they often told me to come sit by their side. That’s why my mom said she couldn’t bear the sight of me.”

Lee Min-jung said, “There were a lot of entertainment agencies waiting in front of the school to give me their business cards.” Jo Se-ho revealed, “I’m the same age as Hwang Je-sung. Hwang Je-sung praised Min-jung for being such a nice person.”

Lee Min-jung confessed, “I went to the school because I originally wanted to become a director, but I had to do a play to get credits. It was interesting to do a play. My father told me to try it after college if I was interested. Now that I think about it, the good thing is that I completed the whole course and had friends at school. My debut was a little late.”

Lee Min-jung continued, “I have sad memories too. There were times when I was too old to be cast. In the past, I thought ‘Why couldn’t I be the main character?’ But now I’m glad I didn’t take on a big role from the beginning.”

Lee Min-jung drew attention by saying, “There was a role I was scheduled to play, so I prepared the script by memorizing it. But my work was canceled overnight when I was informed that the actress had been changed.”

Lee Min-jung told the story of her rise in popularity after “Boys Over Flowers“. Lee Min-jung shared, “After participating in the drama, everyone recognized me the next day. It was really amazing.”

Lee Min-jung made everyone burst into laughter as she added, “I came out as a kid richer than F4. But why did I have to walk? I asked the production team whether I had a car. But my character had so much money that she didn’t like cars at all.”

Meanwhile, on this day, Lee Min-jung talked about her husband Lee Byung-hun, “When we are together, there are more high notes than mid and low notes. When I lose my temper, my husband is the type to get hit and endure. He’s very kind and gentle.”
