BLACKPINK & TWICE’s “Chaeyoungs” have been friends for years and here are their cutest moments
BLACKPINK’s Rosé and TWICE’s Chaeyoung have been close for a long time.
BLACKPINK’s Rosé, whose Korean name is Chaeyoung, and TWICE’s Chaeyoung were recently spotted on a dinner date together. Some netizens may have been surprised by this relationship, but in fact, two Chaeyoungs have been close friends for a long time.
In 2017, on a show, Rosé revealed about this friendship: “I recently became friends with TWICE’s Chaeyoung, who has the same first name as me. We haven’t had a chance to get close yet, but we’ve exchanged phone numbers and things like that.”
At the end of 2016, when BLACKPINK just debuted, they were up against TWICE for first place at weekly music shows many times. BLACKPINK was promoting Playing with Fire, and TWICE was promoting the smash hit TT.
In an episode of Inkigayo, fans noticed the first tiny moment between Rosé and Chaeyoung. Although BLACKPINK lost to TWICE, Rosé still happily smiled at Chaeyoung to congratulate her group’s win.
After that, BLACKPINK rarely made a comeback, so the two groups did not have the opportunity to promote together, causing fans to barely see more interactions of two Chaeyoungs. But everytime they met at the year-end awards shows, Chaeyoungs would definitely interact or stick to each other on stage, making fans fall in love with their cute moments.
