According to a report by SPOTV News on November 11, Lee Junho will take on a starring role in the third installment of director Ryoo Seung-wan’s hit crime-action series, Veteran. The franchise centers on the relentless detective Seo Do-cheol, played by Hwang Jung-min, as he chases down high-powered criminals without backing down.
The original Veteran (2015) was a massive hit, drawing in 13.41 million moviegoers. Its sequel, I, the Executioner, released last year, also performed strongly despite a challenging theater climate, racking up 7.52 million admissions.
The post-credit scene in I, the Executioner teased the escape of Park Sun-woo (played by Jung Hae-in), building anticipation for the next chapter. Now, with Junho’s addition to the cast, fans are eager to see what role he will play and how he will collaborate with veteran actor Hwang Jung-min.
Lee Junho is currently starring in the tvN drama Typhoon Family, which recently recorded a nationwide cable rating of 9.4% (according to Nielsen Korea). With Veteran 3 and the upcoming Netflix series Cashero lined up, Junho is continuing his relentless rise, solidifying his image as a top-tier actor with consistent commercial success.
