In a surprising turn that bridges K-pop and cutting-edge tech, Cha Eun Woo’s younger brother, Lee Dong Hwi, has made headlines for his appearance as an AI expert at the AI Summit Seoul & Expo 2025, held on November 10.
Lee joined Unbound Lab CEO Cho Yong Min on stage to deliver a presentation titled “AI Recipe: An AI Created for My Brother, Now Evolving into a Brand Validation Tool.” The talk explored the development of an AI-powered data crawling model a hot topic in the entertainment and marketing industries.
This model is designed to automatically collect and process data from web sources, transforming it into usable formats for AI systems. Initially created with his older brother in mind, the project has since matured into a professional-grade solution aimed at brand analysis and validation in venture investment and enterprise consulting.
According to the summit’s official description, Lee Dong Hwi currently works as a researcher and advisor for Unbound Lab’s investment team, focusing on AIX strategies. With a background in media, he previously led marketing projects at major firms like Cheil Worldwide and PENGTAI before entering the AI field.
His talk also introduced practical applications of foundation model combinations to solve industry-specific challenges using AI. What began as a personal endeavor to support his famous brother evolved into a scalable product with commercial potential.
Lee Dong Hwi, an alumnus of Fudan University in China, gained public attention through brief appearances on tvN’s “You Quiz on the Block” in June and on “Rented in Finland,” where he appeared alongside his idol brother Cha Eun Woo in December 2024.
