Lee Junho Returns with a Thrilling Solo Concert After 5 Years

On the afternoon of the 14th, Lee Junho’s solo concert, ‘2024 Lee Junho Concert ‘The Day We Meet Again,” took place at the Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium in Olympic-ro, Songpa-gu, Seoul. Celebrating the Year of the Blue Dragon, after approximately five years since 2019, he held a two-day solo concert on the 13th and 14th.

This performance is an extension of his Japanese solo arena tour ‘LEE JUNHO Arena Tour 2023 ‘Mata Aeru Hi’ (The Day We Meet Again),’ which took place in July and August 2023, and marks his first solo concert in Korea in about five years since the ‘2PM JUNHO SOLO CONCERT ‘JUNHO THE BEST IN SEOUL” in March 2019. As evidence of his popularity, pre-sales were conducted exclusively for Lee Junho’s official fan club and Hottest (fandom name: HOTTEST) 9th generation last December, and both performances were sold out.

Opening the concert with a Korean version of the title ‘The Day We Meet Again,’ Lee Junho captivated the audience from the start with live band performances of songs like ‘Pressure’ and ‘HYPER.’

Lee Junho remarked, “Right now, I can see each and every one of your faces. While watching the performance, I can feel in real-time whether you are enjoying and breathing along.” He added, “Sometimes, you might get overwhelmed. If you see someone next to you looking like they might be having a hard time or could collapse, please take care of them. If you call me, I will personally instruct the staff to handle it accurately and cleanly,” jokingly.

He continued, “‘The Day We Meet Again’ is a continuation of the performance five years ago and the latter part of the two-year ‘Before Midnight.’ It became the final of last year’s Japan tour. And today, we are also broadcasting live beyond live.” Lee Junho promised to deliver a passionate performance as if it were the last one, given the powerful energy and cheers from the audience.

Lee Junho also expressed gratitude, saying, “Yesterday’s performance was also danced and sang with my body and throat breaking. The cheers from all of you today seem different from anything I’ve heard before. Really, throughout the entire performance, with every song, even I feel goosebumps. I’m not saying this to pressure you to shout until the end after hearing me say this. Thanks to all of you, I am really happy even now.”

Last year, Lee Junho showcased his talent as an all-around artist, seamlessly transitioning between acting and singing. Leading the JTBC drama ‘King the Land,’ he captivated many viewers with a solid spectrum of acting skills. He also achieved success with the Netflix global Top 10 website’s TV (non-English) category, ranking first three times, and following MBC’s ‘The Red Sleeve Cuff,’ he continued to succeed in popularity. In December 2023, he won the Actor of the Year at the ‘2023 Asia Artist Awards IN THE PHILIPPINES,’ securing the top honor in the actor category for two consecutive years at the awards ceremony, and also received the Grand Prize trophy at the ‘2023 APAN STAR AWARDS.’ In the same year, after successfully completing a solo arena tour in Japan in July and August, he met local fans through a solo fan meeting tour in eight Asian regions from October to December. In November, he released special single ‘Can I (Korean Ver.)’ and digital single ‘Nothing But You (Korean Ver.)’, showcasing his musical capabilities through active participation in songwriting.
