Lee Jun-ho revealed on “Radio Star”, “JYP’s CEO Park Jin-young watched The Red Sleeve and complimented me for the first time after 10 years”

Lee Jun-ho, actor and member of boy group 2PM, said he got praised by JYP’s CEO Park Jin-young for his acting performance in “The Red Sleeve”.

The cast of MBC’s drama “The Red Sleeve”, including Lee Jun-ho, Lee Se-young, Kang Hoon, Jang Hye-jin, and Oh Dae-hwan, appeared as guested on the broadcast of MBC’s “Radio Star” aired on February 2nd. 

Regarding how Park Jin-young reacted to “The Red Sleeve”, Lee Jun-ho shared, “He said the drama was really interesting. After watching my crying scenes, he (Park Jin-young) asked me, ‘How did you do that? How did you prepare for the scenes? I understand it since I’ve tried acting before.’”

He added, “He was curious about many things from the perspective of an actor. He asked me about how I prepared for my character, how I cried and got immersed in the character’s emotions. For the first time after 10 years, he called and complimented me. He said, ‘You did a great job. You’ve worked hard.’”

Actor Kang Hoon was also under JYP Entertainment. He said, “I began my career as an actor, not a singer”, adding, “When I still lived in Gunsan, my friend told me to audition for JYP with him, so I followed him. I went to the weekly public audition and also sang Lee Seung-gi’s song ‘Delete’. Immediately after I sang a word, they said, ‘Thank you’. At that time, I thought that I have to take revenge. 10 years later, I signed a contract with JYP. My ambition for revenge then disappeared.”
