Lee Jun Ho and Yoona’s ‘King the Land’ Tops TV Drama Popularity Rankings

Lee Jun Ho, the protagonist of JTBC’s new weekend drama ‘King the Land,’ has topped the list in the TV drama actor category for its popularity.

According to the survey results released on June 20th by Fundex, an official platform service of Good Data Corporation, a specialized institution for analyzing K-content competitiveness, Lee Jun Ho recorded a popularity score of 5,481 points and achieved 1st place with a market share of 6.65%.

Im Yoona, who co-stars in the drama, also ranked 2nd with a market share of 5.70%. With their performances, ‘King the Land’ rose to 2nd place in the TV-OTT drama category within its first week of broadcast.

3rd and 4th place were taken by Cheon Woo Hee and Kim Dong Wook from tvN’s ‘Deceitful Scheme,’ with market shares of 5.16% and 4.81%, respectively.

Although ‘Delightfully Deceitful’ dropped two places from last week and ranked 6th in the drama category, its own popularity score showed an upward trend.

Ahn Hyo Seop, Yoo Yeon Seok, and Han Suk Kyu, who appeared in SBS’s ‘Dr. Romantic 3,’ which ended in 1st place for four consecutive weeks, achieved 5th, 6th, and 9th place, respectively, in terms of popularity index.

In addition, Shin Hye Sun and Ahn Bo Hyun from tvN’s new weekend drama ‘See You In My 19th Life’ ranked 7th and 8th, while Woo Do Hwan from the Netflix original drama ‘Bloodhounds’ ranked 9th.

In the TV-OTT drama popularity category, ‘Dr. Romantic 3’ took 1st place, followed by ‘King the Land’ in 2nd place. From 3rd to 5th place were Netflix’s ‘BloodHounds,’ tvN’s ‘See You In My 19th Life,’ and KBS2’s ‘My Perfect Stranger.’

Following that, 6th place went to tvN’s ‘Delightfully Deceitful,’ 7th to ENA’s ‘Battle for Happiness,’ 8th to KBS2’s ‘The Real Has Come!,’ 9th to KBS2’s ‘Woman in a Veil,’ and 10th to SBS’s new Friday-Saturday drama ‘Revenant,’ which is about to be aired.

This survey is based on the analysis of program-related information and netizen reactions gathered from news articles, blogs, communities, videos, and social media for 26 TV dramas and OTT original dramas that were broadcast or scheduled from June 12th to 18th, 2023.
