Actor Lee Jin Wook is reportedly in talks to join the cast of the Korean remake of the acclaimed Japanese drama Unnatural.
On July 15, his agency BH Entertainment confirmed the news, stating, “Lee Jin Wook has received an offer to appear in Unnatural and is reviewing it positively.”
Unnatural is a mystery medical drama that follows forensic pathologists as they uncover the truth behind suspicious and unnatural deaths. Originally broadcast on Japan’s TBS in 2018, the series earned widespread acclaim for its compelling storytelling, strong performances, and high production quality. It also developed a dedicated fanbase among Korean drama viewers.

The Korean adaptation will be directed by Park Yoo Young, who previously helmed ENA dramas including The Kidnapping Day and Ms. Incognito.
Girls’ Generation member and actress Yoona has already been confirmed as the female lead. She will play Im Do Eun, a forensic pathologist at the UDI (Unnatural Death Investigation) unit. The character is known for her sharp gaze, warm smile, and compassionate yet resilient personality. In the original Japanese series, the role was portrayed by top actress Satomi Ishihara.
