Lee Hyun Kyun joins Song Kang Ho’s first drama “Uncle Samsik”

Actor Lee Hyun Kyun will appear in the new drama “Uncle Samsik”.

On March 29th, the agency Big Boss Entertainment announced that actor Lee Hyun Kyun will join the new drama “Uncle Samsik” (directed by Shin Yeon Sik, produced by Slingshot Studios).

Set in 1960s South Korea, “Uncle Samsik” follows two men, Uncle Samsik (Song Kang Ho) and Kim San (Byun Yo Han), and depicts their bromance and the obstacles they face during a turbulent time in the country’s history.

Lee Hyun Kyun plays Oh In Woo, a reporter for Aemin Ilbo. He is Joo Yeo Jin (played by Jin Ki Joo)’s college friend and a righteous reporter who struggles to uncover the hidden truth.

Since his debut in a play in 2009, Lee Hyun Kyun has shown off his diverse charm by going back and forth between various platforms and genres, including stage, small screen and big screen. Attention is being focused on what new appearance Lee Hyun Kyun, who has built up his own solid filmography with natural acting and unexpected charm, will show through “Uncle Samsik”.

Meanwhile, “Uncle Samsik” stars Song Kang Ho, Byun Yo Han, Lee Kyu Hyung, Seo Hyun Woo and Jin Ki Joo.
