“Lee Hyo Ri’s English skills are surprising… She’s at the level of free talking with locals without an interpreter” (Canada Check-in)

Two days before the first broadcast of tvN’s entertainment show “Canada Check-in”, PD Kim Tae Ho and PD Kang Ryung Mi conducted a Q&A session.

“Canada Check-in”, which will premiere on Dec 17th, revolves around Lee Hyo Ri, who has been volunteering for abandoned dogs for over 10 years. On the show, she travels to Canada to meet dogs that got adopted overseas.

When asked “You and Lee Hyo Ri traveled together in Canada for 12 days. How was Lee Hyo Ri on set?“, PD Kang Ryung Mi replied as below.

“The most surprising part of our 12-day trip to Canada was Lee Hyo Ri’s English skills. She said she was stressed because she couldn’t speak English well, but rather, the production team was surprised to see her actively communicate with locals without an interpreter during the journey. Also, when she first met the dogs’ adoptive families, it was very impressive that she naturally melted into them and sympathized deeply with their stories, even in situations that might be awkward because it was her first time meeting them.“
