Lee Hyo-ri talks about her popularity and reveals the reason why she held a small wedding on “Tteokbokki Brothers”
The popularity of superstar Lee Hyo-ri surprised the oppas in “Tteokbokki Brothers”.
Lee Hyo-ri appeared on MBC Every1’s entertainment program “Tteokbokki Brothers”, which aired on May 31st.
On the broadcast, Ji Seok-jin said, “I saw the title ‘Lee Hyo-ri, get out of the way’ on articles about rising rookies”. Lee Hyo-ri responded, “I really appreciate such articles. In fact, Lee Hyo-ri was listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for appearing on the front page of newspapers 891 times. Lee Hyo-ri drew attention by saying “I once appeared on the front page just because I caught a cold.”
Ji Seok-jin then mentioned things that became popular thanks to Lee Hyo-ri, “Cargo pants, smoky makeup, orange lipstick, adoption of abandoned dogs, etc.” When asked about the most memorable thing that she was famous for, Lee Hyo-ri said, “Small wedding”.
Lee Hyo-ri appeared at her wedding in a 150,000 won wedding dress she bought overseas. Lee Hyo-ri said, “I’ve tried many fancy makeup styles and wore lots of wedding dresses so I was not so excited about the wedding. But I think ordinary people will get excited since it happens only once in their life”, explaining why she decided to hold a small wedding.
Earlier, when Lee Hyo-ri arrived at “Tteokbokki Brothers” restaurant with Kim Jong-min, Lee Yi-kyung and Ji Seok-jin shouted “Lee Hyo-ri” as soon as they saw her. Lee Hyo-ri then jokingly said, “You guys didn’t lay a red carpet, did you?”. The restaurant was filled with props related to Lee Hyo-ri.
