Lee Hyo-ri mentions Hwasa’s no-bra controversy: “She’s not the type to plan it with any intention in mind”
MAMAMOO’s Hwa-sa expressed her honest feelings about the “malicious comments” related to her appearance ever since her debut.
In the Wavve Original MAMAMOO tetralogy “MMM_where are we now”, which was fully released on March 25th, Hwasa confessed about the emotional changes she had to go through due to the wave of malicious comments after her viral debut. Hwasa, who quickly became an “issue maker” with her bold performances and costumes, confessed her innermost thoughts about the malicious comments related to her appearance.
Regarding the situation at the time, Hwasa said, “I felt miserable. Communicating with fans through music is everything to me, but it even turned me into hating doing music,” she recalled, giving everyone a glimpse of her pain at the time. She then said, “I’ve been lonely in the conflict with myself of whether I should just be a bad person rather than living like a fool,” but also expressed her mature aspect, saying, “It’s not a feeling that I feel alone, but a conflict faced by most people living in this world.”
“Sexy Diva” Lee Hyo-ri, famous for her special friendship with Hwasa, also drew attention by expressing her thoughts on Hwasa‘s becoming an “issue maker.” Lee Hyo-ri mentioned Hwasa‘s no-bra issue and said, “Hwasa is not the type to plan that with any intention in mind. She just does it naturally.” In addition, “MMM_where are we now” contains Hwasa‘s work process of making the mega-hit “Maria” in her first solo album, as well as MAMAMOO‘s world view leading from “Maria” to “HIP,” drawing attention.
Meanwhile, Wavve Original “MMM_Where are we now” is a four-part (120-minute) documentary that contains the seven-year process and the member’s struggle from the debut of MAMAMOO to their current prime time. “MMM_Where are we now” can only be seen on Wavve.
