Lee Hak-joo and Kim Shin-rok were announced as winners of the Best Supporting Actor and Actress at the 1st Blue Dragon Series Awards.
On the evening of July 19th, the 1st Blue Dragon Series Awards was held at Paradise City, Incheon, Seoul. This is the first award ceremony in Korea for streaming content, such as dramas and entertainment programs, on Netflix, Disney+, seezn, Apple TV+, Watcha, wavve, Kakao TV, Coupang Play, and TVing.
The Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress were given to “Political Fever” Lee Hak-joo and “Hellbound” Kim Shin-rok.
Actor Lee Hak-joo took the stage and delivered his acceptance speech, saying “I didn’t expect this to happen at all. I’m really nervous. First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to director Yoon Sung-ho for giving me the chance to appear in ‘Political Fever’, and senior actors Kim Sung-ryeong, Bae Hae-sun, Baek Hyun-jin, etc., who filmed the drama with me. Also, to my CEO, my company, and my family, thank you so much. I will work harder in the future.”
Actress Kim Shin-rok, who drew attention with her amazing acting performance in “Hellbound”, shared, “Thank you for not only inviting me to the 1st Blue Dragon Series Awards but also giving me an award. It’s such an honor for me to be here with those who have done meaningful things in this new flow. To director Yeon Sang-ho as well as all the creators and producers of ‘Hellbound’, thank you so much”. She continued, “I recently watched a performance and there was this line – ‘Whenever we don’t know what to do, just be honest, be sincere and face the painful fight’. I will fight honestly, sincerely and painfully in order to greet the audience again in different places. Thank you.”
