Kang Ho Dong hugged this person as soon as he won “Best Male Entertainer” at the Blue Dragon Series Awards 

Comedian Kang Ho Dong was announced Blue Dragon’s Best Male Entertainer. 

The first-ever Blue Dragon Series Awards was held on July 19th. The Best Male Entertainer Award went to Kang Ho Dong from “New Journey to the West Special Spring Camp”. As soon as his name was called by the presenter, Kang Ho Dong lifted Yoo Jae Suk up and hugged him as Yoo Jae Suk had the biggest smile on his face. 

Kang Ho Dong said in his acceptance speech, “I feel very happy to receive this award. I think this award is meaningful because it presents encouragement and praise for OTT (online streaming platforms).”

He continued, “I was nervous about the unfamiliar environment of OTT, but I trusted my colleagues and staff, so I was able to do my best. I will give greater joy and comfort to the viewers.” 

On the other hand, the Best Female Entertainer award went to Celeb Five (Song Eun I, Ahn Young Mi, Shin Bong Sun, Kim Shin Young) of “Celeb Five: Behind the Curtain”.

The Blue Dragon Series Awards is the first OTT content awards ceremony in Korea. It is held to celebrate domestic dramas and entertainment programs invested and produced by Netflix, Disney+, Apple TV+, Watcha, Seezn, Wavve, Kakao TV, Coupang Play, and TVING. It will take place annually, starting from this year.
