Rising actress Lee Eun-saem has been turning heads with her intense performances in contrasting roles. From the power-hungry student Kim Hye-in in Bitch x Rich 2 to the emotionally scarred yet vengeful Kang Seon-ah in S-Line , Lee Eun-saem continues to prove her versatility and depth as an actress.

In S-Line , a Wavve original fantasy thriller that concluded on July 25, viewers are drawn into a mysterious world where a red string—called the “S-line”—appears between people who have had intimate relations. As hidden truths unravel, Lee Eun-saem’s character gains the ability to see these lines through magical glasses and decides to seek revenge.

Lee Eun-saem shared that the filming experience was both challenging and fun. “It was my first time being on the receiving end in a fight scene,” she said, laughing. “In All of Us Are Dead, I did most of the hitting. Turns out, getting hit is much harder than hitting someone!”

She fully committed to the role, performing physically demanding scenes—including a high-stakes stunt where she falls off a rooftop. “When we filmed the rooftop fall, I figured, ‘There’s a wire, so it’s safe.’ I volunteered to do it myself. It was thrilling—I went up to the fourth floor and came down. I had a blast.”

S-Line made headlines as the only Korean drama invited to compete at Canneseries 2025, eventually taking home the Best Music Award in the long-form category. Lee Eun-saem recalled her disbelief upon hearing the news. “At first, I thought it was unreal. Cannes? It didn’t really hit me until I stepped onto Cannes soil and watched the screening.”

She was especially moved by the live audience reactions. “They laughed, got angry, reacted in real time. It was amazing to experience that together.”

Reflecting on the project, Lee Eun-saem said, “S-Line was a drama I was dying to share. It took two years to finally be released, and it even made it to Cannes. I’m incredibly grateful—it introduced me to amazing seniors and friends.”

Among the various global responses, one fan comment stood out. “I’ve cursed in every project I’ve done,” Lee Eun-saem said with a grin. “And someone messaged, ‘How do you say that same swear word in every drama? I love it.’ It was an unexpected and hilarious comment. Honestly, I think swearing in scenes is fun!”

With her daring performances, emotional nuance, and growing international presence, Lee Eun-saem is quickly establishing herself as one of the most dynamic young talents in the Korean drama scene.
