Actor Lee Do Hyun heralded another role of a lifetime with Ju Yeo Jeong of “The Glory”.
“The Glory” tells the story of a former victim of school violence who seeks revenge on her bullies after taking up a job as a homeroom teacher at the elementary school of the bully’s child.
It is attracting attention as writer Kim Eun Sook’s first genre drama challenge as well as “master of genre drama” director Ahn Gil Ho’s work. It is being considered the most anticipated work of 2023 even before its release.
Lee Do Hyun returns to viewers’ side after a year since his previous work. Ju Yeo Jeong (played by Lee Do Hyun) is a plastic surgeon who looks like a flower in a greenhouse, but has dark and deep pain. He becomes a strong helper for the main character Moon Dong Eun (played by Song Hye Kyo).
Lee Do Hyun introduced Ju Yeo Jeong, “You can think of him as a light and pure person, but when you get to know him, he has a dark side as well.“
In addition, Lee Do Hyun made thorough preparations and hard work to build the character Ju Yeo Jeong. He revealed, “I prepared 5 versions of acting for one scene. The background changes depending on how much I express it. I prepared with the thought to see if there would be something more diverse.“
Starting with “Prison Playbook”, Lee Do Hyun broadened his acting spectrum by crossing genres such as “Hotel del Luna”, “18 Again”, “Sweet Home”, “Youth of May” and “Melancholia”.
Netflix’s “The Glory” starring Song Hye Kyo and Lee Do Hyun will be released on Dec 30th.
