Lee Byung-hun is showing his hidden comic instincts… He must have endured a lot because of Lee Min-jung

Actor Lee Byung-hun is fully displaying his hidden comic instincts. He is the main character who makes tvN’s Saturday-Sunday drama “Our Blues” even hotter.

Lee Byung-hun tried to transform his acting by playing the role of truck maker Lee Dong-seok in “Our Blues“, which premiered on April 9th. Lee Byung-hun, who earned the title of “trustworthy actor” with his bold acting, is putting down his pressure and presenting another legendary performance through this work.

“Our Blues” is an omnibus drama featuring 14 main characters set in Jeju. For this reason, the main characters of the first and second episodes were Cha Seung-won (as Choi Han-soo) and Lee Jung-eun (as Jeong Eun-hee). Lee Byung-hun only appeared briefly as the main character of a romantic relationship with Shin Min-ah (as Min Seon-ah).

But his presence was overwhelming. He performed realistic acting by using the Jeju Island dialect freely like a native. While wearing work pants, he transformed into an all-round merchant, getting everyone’s attention. Lee Byung-hun, who appeared as a junior of Cha Seung-won and Lee Jung-eun in the second reunion scene, was a scene stealer himself.

It is hard to imagine how much he wanted to act in a comic way. Even before his episode came out, “Our Blues” was already enriched by Lee Byung-hun‘s extraordinary presence. This is why writer Noh Hee-kyung had to cast him unconditionally as Lee Dong-seok.

We cannot leave out behind-the-scenes cuts, either. On April 13th, four cuts of “Our Blues” actors for the fan event were released through tvN drama’s official Instagram. In the pictures, Lee Byung-hun wore ridiculous glasses yet exuded an unrivaled presence. He was wearing a suit, so his natural handsomeness was still there, but his comic instincts were all over the place.

Compared to Shin Min-ah, who wore the same glasses, Cha Seung-won, Lee Jung-eun, Han Ji-min, Kim Woo-bin and Uhm Jung-hwa, he looked even more hilarious. If his wife Lee Min-jung had seen it, she would surely have left a comment asking for restraint. However, funny Lee Byung-hun‘s fans were more than happy.

Episodes 3 and 4 of “Our Blues“, which are scheduled to air on April 16th and 17th, will be filled with episodes of Han Ji-min and Kim Woo-bin. However, Lee Byung-hun will also appear in the right place to give viewers unexpected fun. This is why you should watch “Our Blues“.
