Lee Byung-hun Dismisses Rumor Of Being Cast In Noh Hee-kyung’s New Project, “Focusing On ‘Squid Game 2′”

Actor Lee Byung-hun clarified rumors regarding his new work that recently surfaced in online communities

In a telephone interview with My Daily on January 30th, BH Entertainment said, Lee Byung-hun is going to pour all efforts into ‘Squid Game Season 2’ this year. He has not yet thought of the next project”, adding “Not long ago, there was a rumor that he would appear in Noh Hee-kyung’s new work in online communities, but it is not true at all”.

The agency emphasized, “The actor has known writer Noh Hee-kyung for a long time and they always support each other. He knew the news that the writer was preparing for a new project through articles. He has never received any casting offer or script for it”.

CEO Lee Dong-gyu of GTIST, the production company of Noh Hee-kyung’s new work, also said, “We have not decided on the project’s name”, adding “It’s a period drama set in the 60s and 70s. We have not yet started the process of forming the cast lineup”.

As Lee Byung-hun’s wife Lee Min-jung recently gave birth to their first child after 10 years, the actor is spending as much time with his family as possible. Lee Byung-hun’s acquaintance shared, “He’s into taking care of his daughter these days. He has minimized all his schedules to focus on raising the child”.

Apart from that, he has spent most of his time on the set of “Squid Game 2”. As “Squid Game 2” has many actors and the parts are equally divided, the majority of the cast have not yet decided on their next movies or dramas.

Meanwhile, Lee Byung-hun’s second house in LA was recently burglarized. The US entertainment media TMZ reported on the 29th (local time) that thieves broke the sliding glass door and broke into the LA house of “Squid Game” star Lee Byung-hun. The actor’s agency also confirmed the information, adding, “We knew it from an acquaintance. Unlike the report, there was no financial loss”.
