On January 30, the press conference for Mnet’s new program, “Couple Palace”, was held online and hosted by Park Seul-gi.
Mnet’s “Couple Palace” is a large-scale couple matching show that will serve as a “mini version” of the 2024 marriage market. It features 100 single men and women on a quest for the perfect marriage, delivering realistic couple matching stories.
On “Couple Palace”, entertainment veterans Kim Jong-kook, Yoo Se-yoon, and Mijoo will serve as MCs.
At the press conference, Mijoo shared her thoughts, stating, “I am receiving a lot of information by watching ‘Couple Palace.’ I hope you all find it helpful too”, and adding, “As the participants are around my age, I often thought, ‘What if it were me?'”
When asked about her criteria for a marriage partner, Mijoo emphasized “ energy”, saying, “If someone lacks energy, it seems like I would have to take care of everything.”
Hearing this, Kim Jong-kook asked, “What if the person is so wealthy that they don’t need vitality?”, to which Mijoo responded with a laugh, “Then, I might reconsider.”
Continuing, she said, “It’s a joke, but if we have children, we should share our lives. However, if the man lacks energy, I might end up raising both the child and the husband alone. So, energy is important”.
The female idol then emphasized the significance of communication in a relationship, saying that people who avoid conversation will cause her to “die of frustration”.
Finally, she added, “Watching ‘Couple Palace’, I am learning what I definitely shouldn’t do. As a result, I’m looking forward to my future relationships. It’s a program that allows me to reflect on myself.”
Meanwhile, “Couple Palace” premiered on January 30 at 10:00 PM (KST).
