“Lee Byung Hun and Park Bo Young’s acting is crazy” Reactions to “Concrete Utopia” after monitoring preview

The movie “Concrete Utopia” starring actors Lee Byung Hun, Park Seo Joon and Park Bo Young is raising prospective audiences’ expectations even before its release. This is because it is a work that combines hot actors and interesting material.

“Concrete Utopia” is a disaster movie set in Seoul, which has turned into ruins due to a massive earthquake. The story begins as survivors gather in the last remaining apartment building, Imperial Palace Apartment.

In the previously released trailer, the creative imagination and realistic settings came together, heralding a fresh fun.

The trailer captured the appearance of the residents who must survive in the apartment, the only place left standing amidst the ruins caused by the earthquake. The intense tension between the characters intensified, offering an immersive experience that kept viewers on the edge of their seats. In particular, the new character transformations of Lee Byung Hun, Park Seo Joon and Park Bo Young, which have not been seen before, left a strong impression and raised expectations for their performances.

Ahead of the release on August 9th, the “Concrete Utopia” monitoring preview was held on July 25th. As this monitoring preview restricts the act of posting content that can infer the movie’s ending online, the audience’s reactions surrounding the ending could not be seen.

However, they said, “The story was fun and the CG was good”, “They are actors with good acting skills, so I was immersed (in the movie). Lee Byung Hun and Park Bo Young’s acting is the best”… Some praised the performances of actors Kim Sun Young and Kim Do Yoon.

“Concrete Utopia”, a new adaptation based on the second part “Pleasant Neighbor” of Kim Sung Nik’s popular webtoon “Pleasant Bullying”, will be released on August 9th.

This work was officially invited to the Gala section of the 48th Toronto International Film Festival, the largest film festival in North America as well as one of the world’s 4 major international film festivals along with Cannes, Berlin and Venice International Film Festivals.
