BTS Jungkook’s fans caught cheating in MUBEAT voting on a huge scale with 190,000 illegal votes

It was recently found out that fans of BTS member Jungkook cheated in a vote conducted on the MUBEAT app.

On July 26th, MUBEAT recently made an announcement that they noticed fans taking advantage of app errors to obtain vote tickets, known as “heartbeats”, in a way that is against the rules, and decided to deduct illegal votes.

After monitoring and checking the system, MUBEAT announced the lists of users who cheated in voting with the number of their votes.

From the released voting deduction list, fans of artists, such as ZB1, EXO, Shownu X Hyungwon, and NCT DREAM, got their votes deleted by 1000 – 10,000. However, MUBEAT deduced over 195,000 votes for Jungkook.

Netizens showed various reactions to this absurd situation, saying “Not ARMY. Jungkook fans did it”, “Only Jungkook fans cheated in votes but people are criticizing the whole group’s fandom ARMY. So annoying”, “Jungkook ranks 3rd place despite cheating with 190,000 illegal votes”, “190,000 votes can’t be done by one person alone”, “I think they had an organization to do that”, etc.

Launched in April 2018, MUBEAT is a global fandom platform that conducts votes and activities for artists’ promotions on music shows, such as K-POP fans voting for KBS2’s “Music Bank” as well as global pre-voting and live app voting for MBC’s “Music Core”.
