Leading Netflix TOP 10, “Our Beloved Summer” revealed a twist about Choi Woong (Choi Woo-sik)’s childhood story
A shocking twist was revealed in the recent episode of SBS’s Monday-Tuesday drama “Our Beloved Summer”. This is the reason why Choi Woong has a fear of being abandoned.
Broadcast on January 10th, the 11th episode of SBS’s Monday-Tuesday drama “Our Beloved Summer” showed the scene of Choi Woong (Choi Woo-sik) and Kook Yeon-soo (Kim Da-mi) having a drink together.
This episode revealed how Kook Yeon-soo suffered hurtful feelings after having a crush on Choi Woong. She agreed to Choi Woong’s suggestion of them being friends but her mind has already begun to get out of control. Yeon-soo also appeared to be confused by the rumor of a romantic relationship between Choi Woong and NJ (Noh Jung-eui).
In fact, Choi Woong asked Kook Yeon-soo to be his friend because he was afraid that he would be abandoned by her again, like what happened 5 years ago. Choi Woong said, “Because I’m not confident in facing things that I can’t handle again. If I don’t do anything, nothing will happen.”
Then, Choi Woong suddenly disappeared ahead of their documentary’s last filming. Since Kook Yeon-soo remembered that Choi Woong often disappeared at around this time every year, she spent the whole day visiting every place that she could remember to find him. Eventually, she found Choi Woong sitting alone in a pub.
Meeting each other for the first time after a while, the two had a drink together. Kook Yeon-soo began to open up to Choi Woong, saying, “You said you want to be friends with me, I think I can’t do that”. Choi Woong, who had not expressed his feelings so far, was then the first to confess, saying, “I have missed you. Kook Yeon-soo. I missed you. Always”.
He shed tears then continued to say, “I was because I wanted to see you love me only. Yeon-soo ah, please continue to love. Don’t let go of my hand. Keep loving me. Please”. Tears also dropped down on Kook Yeon-soo’s face after hearing Choi Woong’s words. Looking in his eyes, Yeon-soo nodded.
Another twist was revealed in this episode’s epilogue. Choi Woong recalled the memory of being abandoned by his biological father when he was a little kid. Only then did Yeon-soo know about Choi Woong’s heartbreaking childhood story. She got closer and kissed him.
