LE SSERAFIM’s Sakura’s Chinese Fanbase to Boycott the Group’s Comeback

After LE SSERAFIM announced that the group will make a comeback on February 19, the official account of Sakura’s Chinese fanbase, Sakura Bar, released a notice that they will not be supporting this upcoming comeback.

In particular, the fanbase said, “Since the debut of LE SSERAFIM, despite HYBE/Source Music repeatedly disappointing and angering fans, Sakura’s supporters have continued to wholeheartedly support the group’s album and activities. However, after sending a protest truck to voice concerns about Sakura, Sakura Bar has decided not to purchase the upcoming comeback album and will only support individual projects and Sakura’s upcoming birthday.”

Sakura Bar is the largest fan website for LE SSERAFIM in China, and their album purchasing efforts have gained trust and praise from many passersby and fans. The financial stability and mature management activities of Sakura Bar have helped establish good cooperative relationships with major platforms. Sakura Bar not only negotiates independently for the lowest album prices across the network but also has the capability and confidence to handle shopping activities with tens of millions from the Fund.

Now, after careful consideration, Sakura’s Chinese fanbase has decided to hide the sales figures for this comeback album. Sakura Bar will cooperate with selling platforms to create a hidden link. All album transactions will be handled exclusively through the platform, and Sakura Bar will not process any transactions.

It is known that in LE SSERAFIM’s “UNFORGIVEN” era, Sakura Bar’s purchases accounted for 52% of LE SSERAFIM’s fanbase sales in China.

This decision was made after fans expressed anger at the consistent “mistreatment” of Sakura, who barely had any singing parts and screen times in the group’s titles and MVs.
