LE SSERAFIM’s Sakura: “I Don’t Know Why I Chose to Be an Idol” – Bursts into Tears

On the 29th, a documentary of LE SSERAFIM was released on HYBE’s official YouTube channel.

After finishing promotions for their first full-length album ‘UNFORGIVEN’, Sakura broke into tears due to the pressure and burden. She cried for a long time, saying, “I’m scared to raise my voice in front of people.”

Sakura confessed, “I don’t know why I chose to be an idol. Did I really need to? It’s not that choosing to be an idol was the wrong choice, but I wonder if being an idol is truly the job I excel at. Sometimes when I make mistakes or feel my limitations, I think that others who are good at it could have done it instead of me.”

Sakura said, “No matter what people say, this job is the one that excites and makes me the happiest. Maybe it’s not that I’m giving up and doubting myself because I’m not good at it or lack talent. I didn’t originally think like this, but hearing so many things makes me sometimes think that way. I don’t understand why I’m doing this to the point where it’s so hard and I’m crying.”

However, Sakura headed back to the practice room. Resolving her mind, Sakura stated, “I want to have a big dream that people think is impossible. Even if it can’t be achieved despite working hard, just having that dream and working hard for it would be a happy and treasured time.”
